Western Cow Kids Academy

We believe the most fun and rewarding time for a child is on the ranch!

We have created a program that will run once a month and allows children already involved in or interested to become involved’ the opportunity to learn a huge variety of Cowboy and Cowgirl sports as well as bringing all “western influenced” industries together.

The children will be involved in and learning all events such as Cutting, Campdrafting, Reining Cow Horse, Reining, Ranch riding, Western pleasure, Rodeo events – Team roping, Breakaway Roping, Barrel racing, “tinny tot Steer wrestling and Steer undecorating (all on a dummy), sporting events, ASH classes as well teaching children how to train or maintain a horse to be soft and broke, safety around horses including stallions, knowing how to recognize health issues with their horse, understanding the importance of their horses fitness and so much more!

Each day will have a theme, the appropriate professional guest instructor will be brought in to each to assist as well as educational talks with vets and some international champions to inspire the children.

We will be encouraging our club members to be apart of “have ago” and compete at different events held by other associations. Eg, youth or grass root NCHA cutting events. youth jackpot ropings, ranch horse clubs, campdrafts, NRCHA and the list goes on.

Our main goal is to always have fun however to achieve the most fun possible we believe it’s important to teach the children that hard work, dedication and a humble fun attitude are the key to success.

On our family farm we have a beautiful indoor arena, round pen and large outdoor arena alongside our entertainment area which includes a kitchen, BBQ, lounges, toilet and shower and undercover deck to refresh yourself. We are truly blessed to have the facilities to create the safest learning environment possible.

At only $50 a day per child please secure your spot today!

Please note, Days working cattle will require a small fee on top.

Mothers and Fathers – Unlike other clubs unless your child is still on a lead we don’t expect you to help! Please sit back and relax!

Lunch is not included, however A lunch and horse care package can be available for children who will be left for the day by arrangement.
